The passage below brings us to “the final hour.” Its words give both insight and warning as to what will take place when the time of the anti-Christ draws near. Subtle deception, particularly about Jesus Christ, will become strong among Christians. The anointing of God’s Spirit, however, will set up a guard in us.

I John 2:18-20—Little children, it is the last time (it is a final hour): and as ye have heard that (the) anti-Christ shall come, even now are there many anti-Christs; whereby we know that it is the last time (it is a final hour). They (the anti-Christs) went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction (an anointing) from the Holy One, and ye know all things (*you instinctively know all).  
Young’s Literal Translation—Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as ye heard that the antichrist doth come, even now antichrists have become many—whence we know that it is the last hour. Out of us they went forth, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but—that they might be manifested that they are not all of us. And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and have known all things...

FATHER, my understanding is very poor, especially with regard to what is taking place on the world scene right now. But—I praise You for sending Your Spirit to dwell within us. I believe He will guide us through this time. And—we claim Your protection through all this perilous time.
